تفاوت بین To dress, To wear

to dress به معنای پوشیدن لباس است

= to put clothes on yourself or someone else

After you dress yourself, you are wearing clothes.

ٍٍE.g.: It’s cold outside so dress warmly! [= put on warm clothing]

To wear به معنای به تن داشتن لباس است. بعداز اینکه لباس را می پوشیم (To dress) آنرا به تن داریم (To wear)

= to have clothes on your body

Similar to wear, you can also have clothes on or have on clothes.

E.g.: He wore a tie yesterday.
